What is really interesting -whether a hoax or not- is: why do crop circles? why choose those shapes? is there a need of expression or invocation? or of contact? those things really get my mind goin'. I'd love to meet a crop circle artist (or priest), human or extra-dimensional. -

Mon, November 5, 2007 - 5:58 PMThanx man! I'll look into it! And I hadn't considered the "natural energy" approach. I currently believe them to be hoaxes... as they can be done with ordinary tools and stuff :s
But I'll definitely read up on it to have a more detailed knowledge of the phenomenon.
About the geometry... have you seen crop circles with fractal patterns? That'd be cool! -

What got my attention was a pattern of the 6 pointed star, I began to wonder how they might tie in to Cosmology which brought me here to you wise ones. Like you say maybe they are all hoaxes. -

Thu, November 8, 2007 - 8:01 PMWell, most crop circles I've seen use symmetry, Eucludyan geometry and some other basic geometry principles as a base for ther structure. Mostly conventional geometry. What is interesting is their use of occult and/or "pagan" symbology.
I'd like there to be a crop circle with a star map leading to a new planet or something, that would be really cool. As far as I know,no new principles or schemes have been discovered in the basic "math" of crop circles. But then, there are some "abstract" ones that could have a meaning we -for now- ignore.

others though... seem tough to pull off in the dark in a couple hours.
